Advocacy

The Linardic Lab proudly supports several pediatric cancer and sarcoma advocacy organizations. As pediatric sarcoma researchers, we understand the importance of private foundation support for basic science research and strive to be outspoken advocates for this critical mission. Our lab has worked with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, The American Cancer Society, Strikeout for Sarcoma (Duke Multidisciplinary Sarcoma Program), Angels Among Us (Duke Cancer Institute), Arts for Life, Teen Cancer Hoops and others to advocate for increased research funding and awareness for pediatric cancers and sarcomas. please visit our contact page if you are interested in learning more about pediatric cancer or sarcoma advocacy, or getting researchers involved with your advocacy event.

Some of our team members participated in the Raleigh/Umstead CureSearch Hike in October 2021, an event that raised $20,885 in support of CureSearch’s mission to end childhood cancer.
