Go through the following papers/resources:

1. Credé, Marcus, Sylvia G. Roch, and Urszula M. Kieszczynka. “Class attendance in college: A meta-analytic review of the relationship of class attendance with grades and student characteristics.” Review of Educational Research 80.2 (2010): 272-295.
   1. This is very long, I recommend doing at most a pass 1 on this paper.
2. Veerasamy, Ashok Kumar, et al. “The impact of prior programming knowledge on lecture attendance and final exam.” Journal of Educational Computing Research 56.2 (2018): 226-253.
