IRB
On 2/13, we will have a guest from the Campus IRB office visit and run a hands-on workshop. To prepare, do the following:
- If you do not already have an IRB CITI certificate, complete at least half of the modules in the required CITI training listed on the Campus IRB website. I strongly encourage you to finish it since it is transferable to other institutions and may be useful in the future.
- Skim through the IRB protocol in Canvas.
- Everyone, come to class prepared to share:
- A brief summary of your project, especially how it is related to IRB in terms of what data you are using and where that data is coming from.
- A question about IRB, such as:
- If there is data you weren’t sure you could use for your research project, ask how/if you could get it.
- Imagine a different research project or follow-up study from your project, ask how you would frame it in the IRB protocol to make it the easiest to write and get approval.
Add 1 entry in your QQC Doc of this topic and include what you plan to share in class.
