Now that the class is drawing to a close. I’d like us all to reflect on how things went and think about how to make this class even better next time I offer it. So do the following.
Due: 4/19
Reading
Duke Learning Innovation’s brief text on Write course learning objectives and Decide how to measure the learning objectives (right below the first one.)
Reflection
Answer the following questions in your QQC doc.
- Learning Objectives:
- What learning objectives did you achieve in this class?
- What do you think the learning objectives were in this class?
- What do you think the learning objectives should be in this class?
- General
- What activities should the next offering of this class keep? Why?
- What activities can the next offering of this class do without? Why?
Grading
- Exemplary (10 points) – Your reflection clearly shows more than 10 minutes of effort.
- Satisfactory (9 points) – Your reflection is mostly filled out but one or two questions have very little substance in them.
- Not yet (6 points) – The reflection is very sparse and could have been written in 5 minutes or less.
- Unassessable (2 points) – There is a reflection but it does not fulfill the Not yet criteria.
Regrade
You may redo the work and request a single regrade to update your grade.
In-Class Activity
We will create 4 groups. Each group will share what they wrote individually and then collaboratively create a group answer in a Google slide deck, linked in the shared Word file. We will then merge groups together to form 2 groups and each group will again create a shared consensus on the answers to the above discussion. Finally, we will have a class-wide discussion to create a single summary reflection.
