This conversation was led by Alfonso Troisi, Department of Systems Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata School of Medicine. He led a discussion on the selective pressures that led to evolution of a human behavioral immune system, and how the resulting psychological and behavioral adaptations to avoid infection are relevant to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
