Welcome to the Duke Chess Club website!
Last Updated: Sep 10, 2017
Our meetings are:
Mondays, 7:00-8:30PM in the Griffith Board Room in Bryan Center
The Duke Chess Club is dedicated to bringing together the chess community at Duke and providing a place to study, discuss, and play chess. Players of all strengths are welcome, and you don’t need a USCF rating to come to our meetings and play a few games.
We are also committed to holding occasional tournaments on campus for Duke students, as well as participating in tournaments in the RTP area. (Note that, for some of these tournaments, a USCF membership is required to participate.)
If you have any questions about who we are or what we do, don’t hesitate to contact us! Please see the contacts page to email.
During December 27-30, 2016, Duke University competed at the Pan-American Intercollegiate Team Chess Championships in New Orleans, LA. We sent four players to the tournament.
