Mobile health (mHealth) interventions to improve smoking cessation and other treatment outcomes. There is increasing interest in using smartphones to deliver mobile health and substance abuse interventions. CfAST investigators are developing methods for understanding the spatial distribution of addictive behaviors and mental illness symptoms and using that information to inform in-place, in-time interventions using smartphones. In partnership with technology companies, we are also developing smartphone-based interventions to improve medication adherence for smoking cessation and other chronic diseases.
