The Center for Pathway Programs is stepping up to support an initiative strengthening pathways at institutions beyond Duke and North Carolina.
Duke CTSI’s Workforce Development (WFD) Pillar is leading a Clinical Research Professionals (CRP) Roadshow, visiting campuses including North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Norfolk State University, and additional campuses to be announced. The roadshow leverages the carefully stewarded E2P network (Education to Practice) of Dr. Lance Okeke and consists of visits that bring together clinical research professionals, health professions advisors, faculty, and students to discuss research career awareness, mentorship opportunities, and resources for training that can prepare students to enter this dynamic and broad-ranging field.
The Center is pitching in to provide retroactive technical support to network partners seeking to begin or strengthen pathway initiatives at their host institutions. The Center meets with representatives at partner institutions to understand pain points, map local resources, and build the foundation for a self-sustaining community of practice where partners can continue learning from one another.
