Dr. Sanders’ research program involves investigating underlying mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders, biomarker development, genome integrity and DNA repair. In particular, her recent research has focused on Parkinson’s diseases, the most common neurodegenerative movement disorder of which aging is the greatest risk factor.
