Azoria 2015 – Info session

An info session on the Duke Archaeological Field Practicum in Crete (formerly known as “Duke in Crete”) was held on Dec. 4, Thursday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Duke University (Old Chem 119).

Students met the faculty directors for the Duke in Crete Summer program and learnt more about this six-week archaeological field studies program on the island of Crete.Based at the site of the Azoria Project, this program introduces students to diverse aspects of an archaeological excavation in Greece, including the stages of recovery, processing and primary study of the artifacts recovered, and interpretation of those objects.

Donald Haggis, Carla Antonaccio, and GEO Staff were present.

There was a presentation on the site and work time for Q&A.
