Lab Culture

Lab Culture Statement

As members of the Bagnat lab, we are proud to actively and intentionally create an inclusive lab environment. Our goal is to have a team whose resilience, creativity and innovation is bolstered by mutual support and respect. We believe that science is for everyone and that it thrives in multi-disciplinary environments. Having a diverse lab community is key to making new discoveries because it broadens our views on life and science. The Bagnat lab recruits students, trainees and staff from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. We enthusiastically support colleagues from different training paths, diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, parents and women in STEM. We are respectful of each other’s beliefs and identity. Our team is continuously educating ourselves so that we can optimally advocate for our colleagues and improve diversity in STEM and the field of cell biology.
