The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a non-profit organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, while helping the global engineering community develop solutions to improve the quality of life of others. The organization was founded in 1880 and has grown to include more than 130,000 members in 158 countries. ASME promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe.
The Duke University section of ASME aims to benefit students through facilitating hands-on design experiences and opportunities for career exploration and professional development.
