Welcome

The American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter at Duke University is a student-run organization that enhances the experience of civil and environmental engineering students through exposure to industrial companies, mentorship, and various competitive projects. Duke ASCE serves as the bridge to connecting students with the highly recognized international society of professional civil engineers.

Our local chapter holds weekly meetings and invites professors of the department and corporate speakers to connect with student members to provide invaluable advice and opportunities to network. Every year, students compete at the Carolinas Conference in events such as Concrete Canoe, Fresh-more, and the Mead Paper, allowing them to obtain hands-on experience and apply their skills outside of the classroom setting.
