About the film:
This touching documentary reveals a unique way of life that is on the verge of extinction due to changes in tradition and external threats. Over the course of six years, the film traces the life of the oldest living haenyeo (“diving woman”) on Jeju Island, who laments the current state of the maritime environment, and her bond with her young apprentice.
