1. Entrepreneurship Experience 1: FHTH Guatemala Nonprofit Management/Marketing Internship
    • Description: During the summer of 2020, I served as a management intern for “From Houses to Homes”, a nonprofit organization based in Antigua, Guatemala. Based on materials I designed advocating for the needs of Guatemalans, the organization shifted focus to providing urgently needed COVID-19 hunger relief to Guatemalan families. I improved my communication and presentation skills by organizing virtual events/panels to raise awareness about the effect of COVID-19 on the Guatemalan economy. I also attended weekly skills workshops, gaining proficiency with Canva and Microsoft Office Suite. Over the course of the internship, I contributed my own ideas regarding sustainable entrepreneurship initiatives for local communities, which will soon begin to be implemented in the summer of 2022. In all, this experience allowed me to understand how to innovate in the context of a nonprofit organization, especially as it pertained to obtaining sponsorship and support during a pandemic.
