On September 10th, the Duke University Program in American Grand Strategy, in conjunction with the Triangle Center for Terrorism and Homeland Security and the Sanford School of Public Policy, hosted Dr. Jessica Stern for a talk entitled, “ISIS: Terrorism at Home and Abroad.”  Dr. Stern, a lecturer at Harvard University and former member of the National Security Council Staff discussed her new book ISIS: The State of Terror in which she analyzes the terror group’s seemingly meteoric rise from the ashes of Al Qaeda in Iraq, an organization founded in response to the 2003 US invasion.  For more information on Dr. Stern and her book, please visit this interview conducted by Duke Political review.
