From Dr. Richard Hays, Dean, Duke Divinity School

Dear Members of the Divinity School Community:

I would like to call your attention to the “After the Yellow Ribbon” conference being held at the Divinity School next weekend (Nov 11-12).  Initiated by students who are military veterans, it seeks to illuminate the difficult moral, psychological, and spiritual issues faced by members of the military who seek to re-enter civilian life.  The questions raised here are pertinent not only for all of us in the university but also–indeed, even more so–for all who plan to be engaged in ministry.  Among other things, the conference will ask what resources the Christian tradition can offer for the healing of the spiritual wounds of war.

I understand that a grant now allows students to register for the conference for only $10.

Grace and peace,
