Join us for a workshop on the integration of narrative medicine into clinical and classroom spaces; by bringing together clinicians and educators, we hope to foster the growing narrative medicine community at Duke.

This workshop opens with a special public event on the evening of Thursday, April 27, featuring a dialogue between a mother who lost a child to a drug overdose and the doctor who accompanied her through her grief, as they reflect on loss, healing, and growth in the face of the opioid epidemic.

The workshop program continues on Friday, April 28, with a panel discussion of Trent Center faculty and visiting guests, followed by small group experiential workshops.  The seminar will end with a working lunch to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration in the Duke Narrative Medicine Network.

Generous support for this workshop was provided by a seed grant from the Duke Office of Faculty Advancement.
