ANNOUNCEMENT: Our last day for peer-tutoring with the Writing Partners will be on Monday, April 22.
Beginning on January 27, the Writing Partners are available for drop-in sessions with Duke undergraduate writers. We have locations on both East and West Campus!
Partners on East: Our Writing Partners on East Campus are available to work with first-year writers three nights a week—Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday from 8:00-10:00pm in Carr 136.
Partners on West: As part of a new Writing Studio initiative, we now offer drop-in sessions in the Writing Studio space in Perkins Library 112. Our Writing Partners are available to work with any Duke undergraduate writer four nights a week – Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00-10:00pm.
Writing Partners can help with writing for any course and writers are encouraged to stop by at any stage of the writing process – from brainstorming to drafting to revising to polishing the final draft. Currently in its third year, the Undergraduate Writing Partner Program is part of Duke University’s Thompson Writing Program. Writing Partners are sophomores, juniors, and seniors who were nominated by their Writing 101 professors for their exceptional work, both as writer and respondent, in their first-year academic writing seminars.
