Iceland Manager

Heimer Hallgrímsson

After three years of co-coaching with Lars Lagerbäck, Heimer Hallgrímson took sole possession of the Iceland manager role in 2016. This change followed the tiny island nation’s captivating run at Euro 2016, a iconic moment that placed Icelandic football firmly on the map. Since emerging as the main man, Hallgrímson has proven that the team was not a one-hit wonder, qualifying for the World Cup in convincing fashion. He has further proven himself as a more than capable and flexible manager, fit to carry his squad and their 330,000 friends and family into battle. Not to mention, he is surely the field’s only dentist — he better brace himself for the world’s greatest competition.
