Why Treevival?

The Treevival Project is about taking a moment to reflect upon whether you believe you have a moral obligation to protect the planet. If so, why? What does that obligation mean to you?  In our busy days in graduate school, it is rare to stop and think about why we are doing what we are doing — Treevival is meant to spark that thought process and inspire a larger conversation about environmental ethics.

And, as much as Treevival is about personal reflection, Treevival is also about community. It is about feeling a part of a bigger movement to protect the planet. By seeing the brown leaves disappear and the green leaves replace them, we are reminded of how much can be accomplished by a group of passionate people. If we all give something back to the planet, we can make it a better place.
