Introduction

So you just downloaded Google Earth, the free, user-friendly, and most popular virtual globe download available on the internet, but do you know what to do with it? Sure, you may know that you can see your house from Google Earth (and now you can see Russia from your house), but do you know what KML is? Or Google Sky?

This website, a collaborative effort of Joseph Graves, Cameron Kim, Sarah Kline, and Cate Motosko, is designed to provide you with an understanding of Google Earth. Sections covered include how Google Earth differs from other Google products, some beginner’s knowledge of how to use Google Earth, an introduction to some of the many applications and disciplines that Google Earth influences, an understanding Google’s privacy stance and policies, and where Google Earth will be used in the future. You may access the links to the pages by clicking the appropriate page on the right, or click below at the main categories this website aims to elucidate more information.
