After a summer “break” full of internships, cross-country relocations, and a (mostly) orderly transition to a new leadership team here at the Sanford Journal of Public Policy, we are proud to announce the return of the SJPP Blog!
Our goal here at the SJPP Blog is to provide both an outlet for a wide variety of policy discussions among readers and a real-time look into how the graduate student body at the Sanford School of Public Policy views current policy developments. To achieve these goals, we will continue our tradition of op-ed style posts that provide in-depth analysis of international, social, environmental, and economic policy and encourage you, the reader, to interact with SJPP Blog contributors via the comments section.
You may notice a few changes to the blog this year as well. In addition to the more developed analyses, SJPP editors will be contributing short reactions and links to policy debates as they develop. We hope that by also offering these short posts, the SJPP Blog can be a convenient destination that readers can visit regularly to get their policy news fix. Also be on the lookout for searchable archives of prior posts by subject, an increased focus on graphic representation of data and policy research papers, an integrated Twitter presence, and more visible links to faculty and student body blogs.
We’re excited to welcome new and returning readers to the SJPP Blog. We look forward to talking policy with you soon and, in the meantime, please let us know how we’re doing and how we can improve!
