Dr. Sarah Ridge, PhD, joined the Sipkins Lab as a postdoctoral scholar in 2017. She received her undergraduate degree at University College Dublin in Cell and Molecular Biology and then went on to complete an MSc in Regenerative Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Sarah subsequently undertook a PhD at the same university studying the role of mesenchymal stem cells in prostate cancer progression. Her current postdoctoral research uses in vivo models of acute lymphoblastic leukemia to study the interaction between leukemia cells and perivascular cells in the bone marrow microenvironment.
