Influx From Zimbabwe to South Africa Tests Both

Abstract
Swelling tide of migrants from Zimbabwe is moving into South Africa , driven into exile by oppression, unemployment and inflation; International Organization for Migration says South Africa is deporting average of 3,900 illegal Zimbabwean migrants every week, up more than 40 percent from second half of 2006; social tensions are ratcheting up in both nations, as Zimbabwe ‘s adult population dwindles and South Africans face new competition for jobs and housing; migrants also pose diplomatic problem, because South Africa is trying to broker end to Zimbabwe ‘s political crisis without criticizing its government
