RISE was developed in 2005 by Rochelle Schwartz-Bloom, Professor of Pharmacology, to provide validated and engaging resources for teachers and students in biology and chemistry.  Many of the resources found here are the outcomes of major grants provided by NIH (NIDA, NIAAA) to develop and field-test modules in biology and chemistry for high school students nationwide.  A visit to the publications tab lists where the original studies have been published, all with demonstrated efficacy.
