Welcome
Thank you for visiting my web site. I work in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience in Rick Hoyle, PhD’s lab. I am also affiliated with the Center for Developmental Science, a Center directed by Andrea Hussong, PhD. I am an alumna of UNC, having completed my graduate training in Quantitative Psychology under the mentorship of Daniel Bauer, PhD.
Research Interests
I study the issues that arise when modeling developmental change over time, specializing in mixture models and modeling nested data structures (e.g., multilevel and structural equation models). Lately, I have developed an interest in applying these models to: 1) explain processes leading to the development of self-medicating behaviors, and 2) understand how addictive processes and self-regulation interact over time.
