Duke Interventional Radiology Translational Research Laboratory

Founded in 2010, the mission of the IR Translational Research Lab is to pursue cutting-edge translational research in Interventional Radiology aimed at developing novel minimally invasive treatments for important disease states such as cancer, obesity, and peripheral arterial disease. By exploring underlying mechanisms and refining tools and techniques on the bench and in animal models, our goal is to translate these innovative therapies into routine clinical use in patients. Current funding sources include the National Institutes of Health, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Interventional Radiology.
