Duke Center for Science Education

Duke Undergraduate Research Support Program

The Undergraduate Research Support Office identifies grants and assistantships for undergraduate research projects and summer research programs. Summer opportunities for first-, second-, and third-year students are offered through the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Programs, the Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy, the Pratt School of Engineering, and a variety of departmental programs. Several programs offer travel and research grants, including awards for research abroad. More info.

Mary Duke Biddle Foundation

The primary purpose of The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation is to further and extend Mrs.Biddle’s life-long interests in religious, educational, and charitable activities in New York City and the state of North Carolina. North Carolina was Mary Duke Biddle’s home state. Her family’s history and legacy were inextricably linked to Durham County and Duke University, but also to the commercial, educational, and social networks that spread across the state. Those connections have deepened and expanded over time, as reflected in the range of grants that the Foundation makes to support activities she held dear. More info.

Student Organization Finance Committee (SOFC)

The SOFC is an up to 17-person undergraduate committee elected by the DSG Senate to allocate the student fund to recognized and chartered student groups. More info.

University/Cultural Fund (UCF)

The University Fund is available to student organizations to support programming that benefits undergraduate students and their Duke experience. The University Fund is derived from  support by the Vice President of Student Affairs and the William and Carol Griffith Endowment. More info.

Duke Partnership for Service (dPS)

Duke Partnership for Service – dPS – strives to SUPPORT the 65+ student-led service groups within our organization to maximize their impact in the local and global communities, to CONNECT the Duke student body to service opportunities that match their passions, and to INSPIRE the Duke community towards social action. More info.
