Summer Workshop Series: “Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse”
We don’t know how the Apocalypse will begin, but with the power grid down, global trade halted and brain-loving zombies roaming the countryside, you’ll need skills to survive. That’s why we’re offering skill-building workshops to help you thrive. Register via the hyperlinks on this page to sign up for your workshop of choice.

Community Workdays
Head out to the farm Sunday (1-4pm) to help us plant, harvest, weed, and work on small construction projects. Everyone is welcome – first-time farmers, experienced gardeners, students, community members, and kids. Join us for a fantastic opportunity to get outside, learn about how food is grown, and meet others from the Duke and Durham community who are interested in farming and food. Carpools from the Duke East or West Campus can be arranged. For workday updates or cancelations due to weather please check our facebook.
Summer hours: Starting June 1, our workday hours will change to Thursday and Sunday from 6-8pm.
The farm is located at 4910 Friends School Rd. If you need directions, go here.
Please email dukecampusfarm@gmail.com if you need a ride to a workday. If you have a group of more than 10, please let us know you’re coming at least a week in advance.
Friends of the Farm
In order to encourage a more reliable and long term pool of volunteers for community workdays, we’re launching “Friends of the Farm.” Volunteer labor is essential to making this farm a success, and volunteering at the farm is a great way to get your hands dirty and learn outside of the classroom. To become a friend of the farm, come out regularly to workdays and in exchange we’ll give you some sweet farm swag. Everyone in the Duke and Durham community who volunteers their time at the DCF is eligible to participate. Just make sure you sign-in when you volunteer!
