Shannon Brewer has MBA from Duke University and will earn a Masters in Environmental Management also from Duke in May 2011. Prior to graduate school, Shannon worked in asset management at Fidelity Investments and US Trust Company. In 2010, Shannon was part of a finalist team in the ACARA Start-up Challenge, a national business plan competition for social entrepreneurship. While at Duke, she has also worked on diverse consulting projects for a number of local businesses, non-profits and a start-up company.
Emily Martin is pursuing a dual Masters in Environmental Management from the Nicholas School and Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to graduate school, Emily worked at Harvard University’s Office of Sustainability focused on energy efficiency and greenhouse gas management. While in graduate school, Emily has consulted to several Southeastern municipalities, including Chapel Hill, NC, Carrboro, NC, and Benson, NC on energy efficiency program design and implementation.
Lisa Thompson will earn a Masters degree in Environmental Management with a concentration in Energy & Environment from Duke University in May 2011. Prior to graduate school, Lisa worked at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, researching residential building and appliance energy efficiency
