I stopped upon a quiet path
not knowing what I sought
amongst the hay and brambles there -
the shades of simple thoughts.
Yet when I looked unto the west
where pine trees waved to let
a heart long-tired know a peace
that heart cannot forget,
I felt an awesome power here
forged not by god or man,
but by a spirit long since lost
to many citizens.
It was a proud and righteous thing,
a sense of hope and unity;
’twas at stone circles that I found
great justice and community.
