Duke University Dancers (杜克大学舞蹈团)
Twelve dancers; twelve styles; one troupe. The Duke University Dancers, comprised of some of the most talented dancers from Duke University, join forces to display incredible talent through a fusion of their individual dance styles (i.e. Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Bhangra, Break, Hip Hop and many more). The dancers have been professionally trained by some of the world’s most accredited choreographers, have performed and competed both nationally and internationally, and have even performed over 50 times in front of thousands of spectators the past year alone! Calling on experiences with companies such as Broadway Dance Center, the American Ballet Theater, and Shen Wei (from the Beijing Olympics), and in countries such as Japan, India, and Hungary, the Duke University Dancers look to bring their talents to the Chinese stage. Transcending current conventions of movement through this unique fusion of styles, we embody the power of unity and diversity through dance.
