Check out our performance at the orientation week a cappella show!

Speak blew the roof off Page at the annual orientation week show for the freshman class. Check out these awesome photos from the performance!

We’ll in in Page Auditorium on Sunday, August 25th, to welcome the Class of 2017 to Duke with the rest of campus’s fantastic a cappella groups. Don’t miss it – we’re hard at work preparing our set, and we’re confident it’ll be one of the best orientation week shows yet!

Interested in making outstanding music, recording studio-quality albums, entertaining your peers, performing all around the country, or hanging out with the best group of friends you’ll find at Duke? Make sure to sign up for an audition during the first week of classes! We’re excited to welcome a brand new group of performers to Speak – basses, tenors, rappers, beatboxers, and everything in between. No experience is required, and auditions are low-key, so don’t hesitate to give it a try.

You can sign up for an audition slot immediately after the o-show – or, find us tabling outside the Marketplace or at the Bryan Center plaza on Monday and Tuesday. First round auditions will be held Tuesday-Thursday of the first week of classes. You’ll be asked to run through a quick range test, then sing a short unaccompanied segment of a song that shows off your voice. From there, we’ll move on to the second and third rounds at the end of the week.

So – stop by and show us what you can do! We can’t wait to meet you. Please just shoot us a message if you have any questions.
