In The Short Audio Documentary, each student produces, you guessed it, short audio documentaries, four of them during the semester. In spring 2011, the themes of these pieces were:
1. “Recycled.” Things repeated and re-used; a theme agreed upon by the class for a joint project.
2. Third Coast Audio Challenge; pieces responding to a Third Coast International Audio Festival “short doc” challenge.
3. Duke Magazine. Audio pieces to accompany the alumni magazine’s stories online.
4. Producer’s Choice.
