About
The mission of the Duke Drilling, Environment, and Economics Network (DEEN) is to connect students, faculty, staff, and others on the Duke campus who are researching or interested in learning more about the complex issues surrounding oil and gas development. We are currently focusing on topics related to hydraulic fracturing. DEEN hosts speakers and networking events, and shares information resources online.
So far we have hosted talks focusing on:
- Methane research
- Legal aspects of hydraulic fracturing
- “Hydrofracking 101″
