My name is lafayette Perry.
In 2005, I recived a felony for a B.B. gun on school ground, which have kept me from getting a job. I did go to prison for 120 days.but this one felony have been a nightmare find a job. i like to know is there going to be any talk on change that laws, so someone like myself will not have to go through this again. yes we do need to reform our justice system.
Thanks for reaching out about this important topic. We’ll definitely be discussing changes to laws like the one you’re talking about. I think the first panel on Friday afternoon on the School-to-Prison Pipeline and Juvenile Justice will probably speak to that. We’ll also have question-and-answer time in case the panelists don’t speak about that in detail. We’re glad you can make it to the Symposium!
