Since 1983, the Duke community has been building an exchange program with the Université de Paris VII-Diderot.  Many hundreds of students have been enrolled in courses at “les Grands Moulins” through EDUCO, our study abroad consortium.  In exchange, dozens of French graduate students have come to North Carolina, pursuing research in history, literary and cultural studies, film, American studies, physics, biology.  The most recent form of exchanges links the faculty: seminars offered by Duke colleagues at LAC – Lettres,  Arts, Cinéma and the Institut des Humanités, and others by Paris VII colleagues visiting in Romance Studies, and the Franklin Humanities Institute.
