The Mind of Aeschylus
Aeschylus firmly believed that there was a thin line between “being human” and “being an animal”. He thought humans could only separate themselves from the bestial world through the accurate usage of language and speech. In Agamemnon, Aeschylus also comments on socially constructed gender roles through the masculinity of Clytemnestra.
